GUWAHATI, April 20 - The Department of History, Gauhati University (GU) is organising an international seminar on mapping the connections among India and Southeast Asian countries, on April 27 and 28 in the conference hall of the GU Institute of Science and Technology.

Head of the Department of History Prof Paromita Das said in a statement here today that five scholar delegates from Thailand and one each from Cambodia, Myanmar, Belgium and Bangladesh, besides scholars from West Bengal and New Delhi, would take part in the seminar.

Scholars are invited to present research papers and deliberate on issues related to the following broad areas of study � ethnic communities and migration routes; trade and trade routes; language, literature and culture; religions and cultures; art and architecture; India and ASEAN and any other subject broadly related to the theme of the seminar, said Prof Das.
