KOKRAJHAR, Nov 11 - The maiden Bodoland International Paragliding Championship got underway today at Dangdhufur in Chakrasila Wild Life Sanctuary in Kokrajhar.
Deputy Chief of BTC Kampa Borgoyari ceremonially inaugurated the championship in presence of State Minister Pramila Rani Brahma; IGP, BTAD, A Agarwal; DC, Kokrajhar, PP Majumdar; SP Kokrajhar, Rajen Singh, along with other guests.
The international event is being organised by the Tourism Department of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) and will conclude on November 14.
Altogether 68 pilots including women from different countries like Indonesia, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Nepal, China and from different parts of India are participating in this championship.
