JORABAT, Oct 10 - The women�s cell of the University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM), 9th Mile, Baridua, in association with SHT-NE, shall observe the International Day for the Girl Child tomorrow.
The programme shall be organised at Dighalipukhuri Park, Guwahati, from 9.30 am.
Jyoti Bora Borgohain, an author on women-related issues, will be present as the guest of honour.
The students of USTM will take part in a rally to sensitise the community on girl child-related issues. SHT-NE, an NGO, is likely to stage a streetplay as well, informed a press release.
