World War 3 would be nuclear and destructive: Russia's Foreign minister

Guwahati, March 2: Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned that if a third World War was to take place, it would involve nuclear weapons and be destructive, the RIA news agency reported.

Lavrov was quoted as saying that Russia, which launched what it calls a special military operation against Ukraine last week, would face a "real danger" if Kyiv acquired nuclear weapons.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine has entered its seventh day on Wednesday, with fighting intensifying in Kyiv, Kharkiv and other prominent cities of Ukraine.

On Tuesday the Russian foreign minister told the Disarmament Conference that every measure was being taken to ensure that Ukraine does not secure nuclear arsenal.
