IMPHAL, Sept 13 - Renowned theatre artistes from different parts of the globe will perform in the Manipur Sangai Festival beginning on November 21 this year. The State Department of Art and Culture will be organising a week- long Asian Theatre Festival during the Sangai Festival at Chandrakirti Auditorium from November 22.
Briefing media persons at a press conference, Director of Asian Theatre Festival, Ningthouja Deepak said seven theatre groups � NT Theatre of Manipur, Kaden Theatre Company (Japan), Kalakshetra (Manipur), Nandir (West Bengal), Chorus Repertory (Manipur), Baa (Assam) and Central Academy of Drama (China) will perform at the week-long festival.
NT Theatre�s play Mangshat, Trioa of Kaden, Draupadi of Kalakshetra, Bacchae of Chorus Repertory, Bipannata of Nandir, Charan Das Chor of Baa and Romeo and Juliet of Central Academy of Drama, China will be performed during the festival.
