TINSUKIA, June 11 - The International Level Crossing Awareness Week that began from June 6 concluded on Friday. To mark the International Level Crossing Day, the Tinsukia Railway Division of the NF Railway organised a motorcycle rally from New Tinsukia Station to Makum Junction, which was flagged off by Prashant Mishra, Divisional Railway Manager, NF Railway, Tinsukia, in a bid to create awareness about the safety measures to be taken before crossing the level crossings.

During the week, the Safety department of the division organised street plays and awareness programmes, especially among students of schools situated along railway lines.

In a press conference, the Divisional Railway Manager said that though the Railways have been taking all safety measures to avert accidents in level crossings, people have to be careful too. Additional DRM Dinabandhu Singh, Safety Officer Biprajit Dutta and other officers of the division were also present on the occasion.
