NEW DELHI, Dec 28 - DoNER Ministry has set up an Inter-Ministerial Committee on North East Road Sector Development Scheme (NERDS), Minister of State of Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju said in a Rajya Sabha reply.
Secretary, NEC is its chairman and senior officers of Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Department of Expenditure, Ministry of DoNER are its members. Empowered Committee of BADP set up under Secretary, Border Management, and MHA is also mandated to identify gaps in basic facilities and infrastructure in the border areas.
