Integrated wellness centre opens outlet

GUWAHATI, March 31 � An integrated wellness centre named Jeevandham was inaugurated in the city recently, a press release stated.

It is reportedly the first such centre in the Northeast with an integrated approach for alternative health system and corrective lifestyle disorders. A multi-dimensional approach is offered by yoga and naturopathy and other ancient healing systems, practised for thousands of years in India.

Jeevandham is fully equipped with treatment facilities for naturopathy, yoga, ayurveda, acupuncture and physiotherapy. It has hydrotherapy, massage therapy, panchkarma, mud bath, steam bath, detoxification therapy, therapeutic yoga and meditation. A holistic approach is adopted to treat the patients.

Dr Avantika Saraf, who is said to be the first qualified naturopath physician of Assam, is the chief medical officer (CMO) of the centre.

Diabetes, pain, obesity and stress management, besides detoxification, cancer management and many such lifestyle disorders are treated at the centre with a multi-dimensional approach.

Basant Agarwal, the promoter of the centre informed that very soon a college of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences along with a 30-bed hospital for nature cure will come up at Sonapur near here.
