UDALGURI, June 12 - Some of the inmates quarantined at Mazbat College created an unruly situation today by burning some of the beds and other properties of the institution allegedly for not allowing them to go outside the college campus.
The bizarre situation was later brought under control by Dhritiman Das, circle officer of Mazbat Revenue Circle, Raja Irshad, an officer of Mazbat police station, and health officials.
Seventy-seven youths are currently being quarantined at the Mazbat College quarantine centre.
Meanwhile, 11 more COVID-19 positive cases have been detected in Udalguri, including four from Mazbat College quarantine centre till the filing of this report.
