NEW DELHI, July 30 � Faced with criticism, India has revealed that it had raised the issue of illegal infiltration with the Bangladeshi leadership during the visit of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj to Dhaka.

During her visit to Bangladesh, Swaraj raised the issue of infiltration with the Bangladeshi leadership. The Government of Bangladesh reiterated its commitment to not allow its territory to be used for activities prejudicial to the interests of India. The two governments agreed that better border management was necessary to bring about peace and security along the border, said Minister, Gen (retd) VK Singh in a Lok Sabha reply.
