TURA, March 13 - A three- month-old infant was killed during a land dispute at Gomaijhora village under the Phulbari PS in West Garo Hills district on Tuesday.
One of the accused has been arrested, while others involved in the case are absconding.
According to the FIR filed by the victim�s mother, Nazma Begum, the dispute arose over a plot of land which was donated to her by her mother. The same plot was also claimed by her elder brothers, Azbahar Ali, Sayed Ali and Saib Ali.
West Garo Hills SP Dr MGR Kumar said that the infant had succumbed to injuries it sustained during a squabble that broke out at Nazma Begum�s house. A case has been registered at the Phulbari PS in this connection.
