JORHAT, Dec 26 - Noted educationist of Majuli and the founder principal of Jengraimukh College Indreswar Pegu breathed his last at his Majuli residence on Friday night due to his old-age ailments. Pegu was 84.
He was the father of former cabinet minister of Water Resources Department Rajib Lochan Pegu.
His death has been widely condoled by several elderly citizens, local organisations across the river-island Majuli.
