SHILLONG, May 23 � The Indo-Bangladesh friendship bus carrying over 20 Bangladeshi officials arrived here this afternoon. It left Dhaka on Friday at 9 am and had an overnight halt at Sylhet before arriving here around 3 pm.
The trip is a trial run before this bus service runs on a daily basis. Earlier, a similar trial run was conducted when a bus travelled from Guwahati to Dhaka.
The Bangladeshi officials, who were received by Meghalaya Transport Corporation officials, said there were some minor problems during the travel, but as in any new project, these could be overcome through better coordination and building of new infrastructure.
