Indian Oil constructs auditorium at school

GUWAHATI, Dec 23 - As part of its CSR initiative, Indian Oil has constructed an auditorium at Narengi High School for the students at a cost of Rs 46 lakh.

�It was a long-pending request from the school authorities for an auditorium, as there was no common facility for the students to get together,� an Indian Oil statement said.

The facility was inaugurated today by G Ramesh, Chief General Manager and State Head (North East), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, Guwahati, in the presence of school headmistress Pratima Das Karjee and other dignitaries including the school management committee president, the District Education Officer, the Inspector of Schools and Indian Oil executives.

�Indian Oil AOD State Office has completed several CSR projects in Assam this year, including a robotic machine for cleaning of underground manholes in Guwahati which was handed over to the GMC, and a free ambulance service for underprivileged people which was launched at the Guwahati Railway Station,� the statement added.
