GUWAHATI, May 18 - The officials of the India Club felicitated Dhirendra Nath Bezboruah, who was also the general secretary of the Club, for being conferred the Padma Shri award.
Bezboruah received the award from the President of India on April 12. The eminent journalist and translator was felicitated with a citation and a bouquet amidst a gathering of Club members yesterday at his residence.
Anupam Chowdhury, secretary general of the Club welcomed the gathering while the felicitation was offered by Abani Barua, president of the Club, stated India Club vice president Kalyan Kumar Das in a press release.
