IMPHAL, June 21 � The 18 Independent winners of the recent ADC election in Churachandpur ADC have formed an alliance called Hill People�s Alliance and has geared up to grab power in this hill ADC.
It may be mentioned that all major parties such as Congress, BJP and NPF failed to win big in this ADC as independent candidates secured 18 of the 24 seats.
With the forming of the alliance, Langkhonpao Guite has been appointed as the party leader. The party has also started the process for recognition from the Election Commission.
The alliance has decided �not� to go with the Congress this time. Independent candidates had supported Congress in the previous ADC.
BJP managed to get only one seat this time in the ADC. The alliance is considering going together with him. It also announced its decision to contest coming major elections in the State.
