BAIHATA CHARIALI, Nov 8 - The public of Radhakuchi village under the Bihdia Jajikona development block of Kamalpur LAC have expressed strong resentment over the incomplete construction of the Radhakuchi Anganwadi Centre located on the bank of Radhakuchi Borpukhuri near the Karara health sub-centre. The construction work started four years ago, but, due to the alleged lackadaisical attitude of the department and the contractor concerned, it has not been completed till date and now it is covered with weeds and creepers.
The people of the village had extended full cooperation to the department during the construction works. A youth club situated there had also given away the land for the purpose. Now, the incomplete construction has made the people unhappy and they demanded of the authorities concerned to look into the matter seriously and take a strong initiative to complete the works.
The local public also demanded of the local MLA of Kamalpur LAC Satyabrat Kalita to visit the site before the ensuing Assam Assembly elections.
