Income-Tax camp organised

GUWAHATI, Jan 30 - LK Agarwal, Commissioner of Income Tax (Exemptions), Kolkata, along with his team members viz., Dr AK Mandal, DCIT (E), Hqrs & Admn, Kolkata, Pulak Das, ITO (E), Guwahati, Subhajit Kr Nag, ITO (E), Shillong and three Inspectors of Income Tax viz., Shyamal Chatterjee and Chandan Paul from Kolkata, Dipak Kr Singh from Guwahati held a camp at Aayakar Bhawan, Christian Basti, here from January 27-29. This was stated in a press release.

Agarwal stated that like in the previous camp held on November 26-27, 2015, this time also the camp, as assured had been held in Guwahati to minimize the troubles being faced by the applicants of the N.E.Region who were required to visit Kolkata for registration u/s 12AA/80G/10(23C) of Income Tax Act, 1961 for exemptions to their trusts and societies.

Agarwal further informed that a similar camp would be held again at Guwahati on April 27- 28, 2016 and at Imphal on April 29 next. Agarwal also expressed his satisfaction over the response from a large number of applicants and he assured that such camps will be organized in Guwahati and other parts of the region after every three months.
