GUWAHATI, April 3 - The Kamrup (M) district administration has constituted a District Level Incident Response Team to tackle the medical emergency situation in the city.
The team comprises the Deputy Commissioner as responsible officer, Chief Executive Officer of the District Disaster Management Authority as incident commander, ADC Bipul Das as safety officer and the project officer of DDMA as liaison officer along with other officials from different departments. The Commissioner of Police has been made chief of the operation section, the District Transport Officer of enforcement section has been made staging area manager and the District Development Commissioner is chief of the planning section.
DC Biswajit Pegu today held a meeting of the team where he announced that the district administration would set up a control room at the Sarusajai Stadium to look after the quarantine facilities set up there.
