GUWAHATI, April 30 - Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal directed the heads of all departments to expeditiously implement all flagship schemes of this year�s budget.
Taking a review of the level of implementation of the flagship schemes at the conference hall of Janata Bhawan in Chief Minister�s Block here today, Sonowal directed all the departments to implement the projects in a time bound manner to ensure people�s welfare.
Sonowal also directed the heads of the departments to earmark a feasible time frame for the implementation of 18 flagship schemes some of which are new in this year�s budget and some were extended over last year�s budget. He also asked the functionaries to take pragmatic steps for the implementation of the schemes from June this year.
Sonowal also said the schemes were taken up to ensure the welfare of the people of the State. He also said because of successful implementation of the budgetary promises, people�s faith in the administration has increased considerably.
Chief Minister�s Legal Advisor Santanu Bharali, Chief Secretary Alok Kumar and senior officers of each department were present at the meeting.
