�Implement announcements CM made at Baghjan�

GUWAHATI, June 15 - Chief Secretary Kumar Sanjay Krishna today asked the departments concerned to immediately implement the announcements made by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal during his recent visit to Baghjan.

During the visit, Sonowal had announced that for bringing a permanent solution to the problems of floods and erosion in Baghjan area, the State government has earmarked Rs 27 crore, to be released soon. Apart from that, a model hospital and a veterinary hospital would also be set up in the area along with a model Higher Secondary school, he had announced.

Development of the Tinsukia-Baghjan road, converting the Maguri-Motapung beel into an international tourist destination by both OIL and the State government, providing financial assistance to women�s SHGs of the area, and setting up a skill development centre were some other key announcements made by the Chief Minister. Senior officials of health, education, PWD, water resources, veterinary, tourism, etc., departments were present in the meeting.
