IMPHAL, May 14 - Manipur State Election Commission on Thursday issued the notification for the June 2 Imphal Municipal Corporation (IMC) polls signalling the start of filing of nominations in 27 wards.
An official release said the last date of filing nomination papers is May 17 and scrutiny the next day. May 20 will be the last day for withdrawal.
Polling will be conducted from 8 am to 4 pm on June 4 while the counting of votes will take place on June 6. Around 1.5 lakh voters are eligible to cast their franchise in the polls.
One councillor and two Ward Development Committee members each will be elected from the 27 Wards in the polls.
