GUWAHATI, Oct 7 - The 34th Inter IIT Aquatics Meet came to an end at the IIT Guwahati campus today.
In the much anticipated men�s water polo final between IIT Kharagpur and the defending champions IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur defeated IIT Kanpur 9-6 which also ended the winning streak of IIT Kanpur�s water polo team in this tournament.
Unfortunately in another match of water polo, the home team � IIT Guwahati failed to make an impact because of its disappointing defeat at the hands of IIT Madras. In the third place match, IIT Guwahati lost to IIT Madras 3-13.
