SHILLONG, March 12 � The three-day annual edition of Sustainability Conference (SUSCON) organised by IIM-Shillong has begun. The Conference on Sustainability, founded on the theme �Sustainability: People, Policies and Practises, was inaugurated on Wednesday by Prof Amitabha De, Director, IIM Shillong.
Shubhajit Chaudhuri, Chief, Sustainability, Tata Steel, addressed the gathering on the importance of the subject and spoke about the successful sustainable practises of Tata Steel and mentioned about its Green Supply Chain.
Prof Sanjoy Mukherjee, Chairman of SUSCON-2015, in his speech, focussed upon human values essential for sustainability. David Sinate, Chief General Manager, Exim Bank, India also emphasised on Exim Bank�s policies on sustainability.
IIM-Shillong hosts SUSCON with an aim to promote the mission of sustainability by creating a platform for different individuals coming from diverse backgrounds.
