GUWAHATI, March 4 - The Union Ministry of Culture has announced the name of renowned anthropologist and former Vice-Chancellor of Arunachal Pradesh University Prof Annada Charan Bhagabati as the recipient of the IGRMS Award for Lifetime Achievement in Anthropology and Museum in recognition to his contribution in the field of academia.
Also a former Professor of Anthropology, Gauhati University, Prof Bhagabati is now 82.
The award will be presented to Prof Bhagabati at a function scheduled for March 8 at the Bhopal-based Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (IGRMS). It consists of a cash amount of Rs 5 lakh and a citation.
