GUWAHATI, Oct 1 - Surendra Kumar, IGP, CID, Assam was conferred the Changemaker Award by the Save the Children in New Delhi yesterday during �The Right Start Summit� at the India Habitat Centre, a press release stated.
Smriti Zubin Irani, Union Minister for Women and Child Development and Textiles graced the event as the chief guest. It was attended by child champions and eminent personalities devoted to the cause of children.
The honour conferred on Kumar is in recognition of his significant contribution in the field of child rights and child protection.
