GUWAHATI, Dec 26 - The 45th Assam State Inter District Weightlifting Championship will be held at the SAI Centre here from January 5 to 7.
The championship will be organised by the Assam Weightlifting Association in collaboration with SAI Guwahati.
Competitions will be held for both men and women in junior and senior categories. For men weight groups are: 56kg, 62kg, 69kg, 77kg, 85kg, 94kg, 105kg and above 105kg.
For women competitions will be conducted in the 48kg, 53kg, 58kg, 63kg, 69kg, 75kg, 90kg and above 90kg categories.
Players have to report at the competition venue on January 5 at 12 noon while the inauguration of the championship will take place at 5 pm.
On January 6 referee examination of national category II will be held at the venue.
State teams for the senior and junior nationals will be picked from this championship.
