GUWAHATI, April 20 - The 26th Inter District Tennis Championship got under way at the All Assam Tennis Association (AATA) Complex in Chachal here today. The tournament is being organised by the North East Tennis Foundation (NETF).
The Director of Sports and Youth Welfare Pabitra Ram Khound inaugurated the championship in the presence of All Assam Tennis Association president Raktim Saikia.
The secretary of the NETF and AATA Ankush Dutta welcomed the players and guests. The finals of the tournament will be held on April 22.
