GUWAHATI, June 1 - The newly setup School Sports Promotion Foundation (SSPF) is planning to start an inter district school cricket tournament in the State.
In a meeting, convened by former Ranji player and NIS coach Gautam Hazarika here today, district conveners were given responsibility to prepare their teams. Assam school team for the School India Cup will be picked from the inter district tournament. ACA officials Sanjib Handique, Sujit Choudhury, Prakash Deka among others were present in the meeting along with Ranji cricketers like Zakaria Zuffri, Purbajyoti Konwar, Partha Hazarika.
