NAGAON, Nov 29 - Shalbagan Football Club, Guossaigaon entered the semifinal of the Independence Day Cup football tournament defeating Assam Police Blues 2-0 in a quarterfinal match here today. Monjit Rabha and Lenin Angam netted in the 22nd and 63rd minutes respectively.
Assam Police got number of chances but failed to score. There will be no match tomorrow. The 3rd and 4th quarterfinals will be held on December 1 and 2. In 3rd match OIL Football Club will meet Jorhat Town Club and in last quarter Khidirpur Sporting Club, Kolkata will face Karbi Anglong. Both the semi final will be held on December 3 and final will be held on December 5.
