ID badminton championship gets underway

DIPHU, Sept 2 - The 67th Yunex Inter-district and Open Badminton Championship under various category age groups got off to a colourful start at the Karbi Anglong Sports Association (KASA) stadium here this evening today.

Around 430 shutters representing both boys and girls team presented their ensign to the KASA president and Chief Executive Member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) Tuliram Ronghang and State Health Minister Pijush Hazarika in an impressive march-past at the newly built indoor stadium.

Participants from 24 districts of Assam have taken part in this tournament.
