According to reports, despite the KAAC having sufficient funds at their disposal, having received funds periodically from the State government, but still the employees of the two hill districts and the workers of the ICDS Department have not received their salaries for the last seven months.

Sources said that the funds released by the State Government for salaries has been spent in supply works without the CEM, KAACs knowledge. There are allegations, that salary payments became irregular after a certain officer joined as Programme Officer in the department. Maximum funds are said to be spent in supply works. It may be mentioned here that the certain officer is also working as the District Social Welfare Officer and will be retiring from government service later this year.
