ICAR chief visits Krishi Vigyan Kendra

GUWAHATI, June 4 - Dr Trilochan Mohapatra, Director General of the Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR), visited the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kamrup, at the Assam Agricultural University, Kahikuchi campus on Sunday and appreciated the work taken up by the centre.

Dr DN Kalita, head of the KVK, Kamrup, briefed Dr Mohapatra on the recent achievements and progress of assigned activities at the centre. Dr Mohapatra visited the demonstration blocks and units and also planted a mango sapling at the Mango Scion block.

Acknowledging the teamwork and enthusiasm of the entire staff, Dr Mohapatra expressed satisfaction over the progress of work undertaken by the centre.

Dr M Premjit Singh, Vice Chancellor of Central Agricultural University, Imphal; Dr Narendra Prakash, Director of the ICAR Research Complex for NEHR, Umiam, Barapani; Dr AK Tripathi, Director of ATARI-VI, ICAR, Guwahati; Dr BC Deka, Director of ATARI-VIII, ICAR, Umiam, Barapani; Dr S Rajkhowa, Director of the National Resource Centre of Pig, ICAR, Rani, accompanied Dr Mohapatra during his visit.
