GUWAHATI, Dec 8 - The Imphal-based Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD) will set up two offices in Meghalaya to develop bioresources for the socio-economic growth of the Northeastern region.
The IBSD, a national institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Meghalaya Government in this regard recently, a statement said here.
The main mandate of institute is �the development of bioresources and their sustainable use through biotechnological interventions for the socio-economic growth of the north eastern region.� � PTI
