IMPHAL, Oct 23 - Manipur Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh has urged the Centre to take an important role in bringing about an amicable solution to the ongoing crisis in Manipur University.
Ibobi made the appeal during an interview with All India Radio Imphal relating to the State�s development activities during his more than a decade long tenure, on Sunday.
�The role of the Central authority particularly the Union Human Resources Development Ministry is important in resolving the University issues,� said Ibobi. �At the same time, the State Govt is always ready to assist and do the needful�, he added.
The classes of the university have been disturbed since the past couple of months following different opinions on the reservation policy in admission process.
