I S Office, Sub-Treasury Office inaugurated

BAIHATA CHARIALI, July 1 - State Health and Finance Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma in the presence of Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup (Rural) on June 29 inaugurated the new office building of the Inspector of Schools, Kamrup at Dadara before a huge gathering.

A public meeting was also held at the Bhrigu Kumar Phookan Public Auditorium, wherein Dr Sarma explained in details about various developmental works carried out by the BJP-led Government. The minister added that the people in the area had to face a plethora of problems as it was running at a rented house, but now they will be able to conduct their works smoothly.

Sarma also said that the State Government has been working for the development of health, education, communication and other essential sectors since the formation of the government and the State Government would construct a science planetarium at Dadara soon. �Similarly, we have decided to construct two new bridges over Brahmaputra, connecting Guwahati -North Guwahati and Palashbari- Sualkuchi�, he said. In the meeting, Kamal Kumar Baishya, Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup district, Partha Sarathi Mahanta, Superintendent of Police, Kamrup also spoke on the occasion. Earlier, Madhab Chandra Deka, Inspector of Schools, Kamrup district circle delivered the welcome address and thanked the guests for their presence on the occasion.

On the same day, the minister also inaugurated a Sub-Treasury office at Sualkuchi and said that another is in the pipeline. �We are planning to set up engineering colleges, hospitals and other establishments in the State in the next three years,� the minister said .
