JALUKBARI, July 15 - The Kamrup district administration has chalked out a detailed programme to celebrate the Independence Day. The district-level programme will be held at Numalijalah Parade Ground near the Kamrup DC Office, Amingaon.
In this connection, a preparatory meeting was held at the conference hall of the Kamrup DC office on July 15 under the chairmanship of the Additional Deputy Commissioner Gita Sharma. Heads of the various departments including the police and the paramilitary forces attended the meeting.
After detailed discussions, it was decided to observe the Independence Day in a befitting manner in the district. The district-level programme includes organizing various competitions like those of essay, debates and patriotic songs among the students which will be held on August 13 and 14 in all schools of the district, cleanliness drive in all Government offices and institutions on August 13 and 14, playing of patriotic songs through the FLS system, prabhat pheri on the morning of August 15, march past and a colourful cultural programme showcasing the State�s unity in diversity.
