HAFLONG, July 26 - To celebrate the 71st Independence Day in a befitting manner here at Haflong, the Deputy Commissioner, Dima Hasao held a meeting with all the heads of Department, media persons and citizens of Haflong at the Conference Hall on Tuesday.
The meeting was attended by the Sp, Vivek Raj Sing, CO, 43 Assam Rifles, Col Gagan Pandey, ADC, Vikram Dev Sarma, Deepak Jidung Addl SP Bhanwarlal, Asstt Commissioner, Rahul Doley etc., officials from the NC Hills Autonomous Council along with all the heads of department based at Haflong and was chaired by the Deputy Commissioner, Dima Hasao Ranjit Hazarika.
The meeting discussed about the preparations along with security arrangements while distributing the responsibilities like security arrangements, stage preparation, refreshment, award etc., among the different Government departments and the NCHAC authority. Deputy Commissioner also suggested a friendly football match between the CEM�s 11 and rest of Haflong wherein media persons were requested to participate in the match.
