GUWAHATI, Aug 27 � The All Style Karate-do Association has proposed to hold the 25th All Assam Inter District Karate Championship at the Tarun Ram Phookan Indoor Stadium here from September 9 to 11.
Addressing a press conference here today, organising body�s president Manmohan Boro and secretary Diganta Das informed that around 400 players from 16 districts will gather for the meet. Competitions will be conducted from the age group of 7-9 years to seniors for both male and female in 65 categories.
Organising committee official Dr Manoj Hazarika said they have invited players of all style to take part in the championship. The State team for the forth coming national tournament will be picked from this meet, informed Dr Hazarika. The players will be accommodated at the Tarun Ram Phookan Indoor Stadium and Haryana Bhawan. Other officials of the organising body, Jiten Das, Rupak Rajbangshi were also present in the press meet along with other officials.
