GANGTOK, Oct 14 - Hamro Sikkim Party founder and vice president Bhaichung Bhutia has lashed out at the BJP for calling him anti-national over his slogan Sikkim is not for sale.

Talking to the media, the former Indian football captain said, This is not a separatist slogan as the BJP is trying to project. No Sikkimese has a problem with it except the BJP.

I am not saying the BJP will remove Article 371 for sure, but after what they did to Kashmir, you cant blame us for being a little scared. And the way they have blackmailed and bought Sikkim Democratic Front MLAs and now two seats of Sikkim Krantikari Morcha, we feel they can do anything they like, Bhutia added. He said the HSP was not for sale and neither is Sikkim.

Recently, the Gangtok district administration had pulled down posters in Gangtok which displayed the slogan Sikkim is not for sale, with many alleging that the BJP put pressure on the government to do so. The state BJP had also criticised the HSP founder of being anti-national after putting up Sikkim is not for sale posters.
