The sales of Hyundai�s successful compact SUV, Creta will soon cross 80,000 units making a record for the south korean auto major. Creta was launched in July 2015 and so far the company has sold 79,000 units of the car. In March, Hyundai announced that it had received over 1 lakh bookings for the Creta.
Since its launch, Creta has been a great success to Hyundai in terms of both booking and sales. The monthly average sales of the SUV hovers around 7,000 units. Riding on the popular demand, Hyundai launched the Petrol Automatic variant of the SUV earlier this year.
Creta is available at a price range of Rs.9.15 to 14.5 lakhs in both petrol and diesel engine options. Creta Petrol gets a 1.6-litre VTVT engine delivering 122bhp and 154Nm of peak power and torque output while the diesel version of Creta has two engine options. One is a 1.4-litre U2 VGT CRDi engine churning out 89bhp of maximum power and 224Nm of maximum torque and the other a 1.6-litre U2 VGT CRDi engine churning out 126bhp of maximum power and 265Nm of maximum torque. Transmission is offered via six-speed Manual & Automatic gearboxes.
