By ANN Service

JORABAT, Sept 18 - Hundreds of people took out a protest rally in Sonapur today in support of Usha Das, a TET-qualified teacher from Dimoria area, who was allegedly harassed by the principal and some of her colleagues of the school in Morigaon where she was appointed.

Usha Das had allegedly been forced to eat beef, besides being harassed mentally by the principal and her colleagues.

She has filed a case on the issue, but the police have allegedly not taken any remedial action so far.

The protesters shouted anti-govt slogans and demanded a speedy investigation into the case and proper punishment to the culprits. They took out the rally from the Sonapur playground to the Sonapur circle office and submitted a memorandum demanding a high level investigation into the case.
