GUWAHATI, Sept 23 - Members of the State chapter of the All India People�s Science Network (AIPSN) today formed a human chain in front of the Guwahati Press Club here to express solidarity with the ongoing global climate strike.

Today�s programme also coincided with the United Nations-sponsored Global Climate Action Summit held in New York today.

The State chapter of the AIPSN has been organising protest programmes all over the State as part of the worldwide climate strike since September 20, and it will continue to organise such programmes till September 27.

Around 100 functionaries, activists and sympathisers of the AIPSN State chapter, which comprises the Assam Science Society, Ellora Vigyan Mancha, Gyan Bigyan Samiti, Assam and the CRU (NER), took part in today�s programme.
