DIPHU, Jan 16 - Poll activities are gearing up in Karbi Anglong gradually. Along with national parties like the BJP and the Congress, the main regional party, the Hills State Demand Council (HSDC) is equally gearing up for the upcoming legislative assembly elections.
It may be mentioned here that in order to strengthen their political strategy, the HSDC announced the names of candidates for the four legislative assembly seats of Diphu, Bokajan, Baithalangso and Howraghat here recently.
Somang Kro will contest from the 18 -Howraghat (ST) constituency, Jagat Sing Engti from 17-Bokajan (ST), Holiram Terang from 20 -Baithangso (ST) and former MP Dr Jayanta Rongpi will contest from 19-Diphu (ST) constituency.
