DIBRUGARH, Feb 15 - The Chemistry subject question paper of the higher secondary examination conducted by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council has been allegedly leaked.

The first page of the question paper allegedly went viral on social media.

Inspector of schools Deepika Choudhury confirmed that a copy of the first page of the Chemistry question paper containing the instructions was doing the rounds on social media.

�I came to know only around 9.30 am after I was given a copy. Examinations had already begun at 9 am. What is being circulated is only the first page that consists of the instructions. These are forwarded copies doing the rounds on social media. So, we cannot immediately confirm the source of leakage. Nevertheless, the matter has been taken up and the AHSEC has already initiated an enquiry into the same,� said the inspector of schools.

Meeting on emergency preparedness: A meeting on mutual aid emergency preparedness was held at the administration building of Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited (BCPL), Lepetkata, on Thursday to strengthen support among all industries during any emergency.

In industrial emergency services, mutual aid is an agreement among neighbouring industries for assistance across jurisdictional boundaries during a disaster or a major fire that surpasses local resources, a release stated.

The meeting was presided over by Pruthiviraj Dash, director, finance, BCPL. The other dignitaries included representatives from OIL India Limited, Duliajan, Indian Oil Corporation, Digboi, Assam Gas Company Limited, Duliajan, BVFCL, Namrup, APL, Namrup, NTPS APGCL, Namrup, NEEPCO, Kathalguri, Duliajan-Numaligarh Pipeline Limited (DNPL), Hindustan Oil Exploration Company, Digboi, ONGC and State Fire Service, Dibrugarh.
