JORHAT, April 1 - The 91st birth anniversary of the departed doyen of the State�s tea industry, Late Hemendra Prasad Barooah was observed today by the officials of his B&A Group by distributing fruits and many other essential items among the students of Jorhat Blind Institution, School for Hearing Impaired and the Dagaon-based Orphanage here.
In hallowed memory of Barooah, the company officials along with the students and teachers of Jorhat Blind School lit candles and organised a memorial meet at the school. Paying floral tributes before a photograph of the departed industrialist, the meet recounted his many achievements.
Participating in the memorial meet and fruit-distribution programme, many officials of the B&A Group said that Late Barooah will be forever remain a source of inspiration for all of them.
