HAFLONG, Aug 9 - At a time when people in the modern-day society are losing trust on one another, Lalphairem, an ex-serviceman and now a successful agriculturist has come up with a new method to spread the message of honesty.
Lalphairem has started a shop without a shopkeeper at Lower Retzawl village near Calvary Prayer Point, Dima Hasao, on the Haflong-Silchar road. The shop works on the principle Where trust is reciprocated, honesty flourishes.
Customers coming to the shop can take whatever they want and keep the money in a box.
S Tuolour, the gaonburha of Retzawl, said that the owner believes in the policy of mutual trust and wants to spread the message of trust in humanity.
He said that with the inspiration of such shops, many more others are being readied by the youths of Retzawl.
Though the shop was put up very recently, it has gathered appreciation through social media.
