Homeopathy community�s bid to bridge healthcare gap

GUWAHATI, Jan 21 - A rally supporting the �bridge course� of the National Medical Commission Bill was organised by AYUSH doctors and students from various homeopathic medical colleges of Assam and other Northeastern states at Dispur Last Gate area today.

The rally was organised under the initiative of the All Assam Homeopathic Medical College Students� Union in association with the National Homeopathic Medical Association, All Assam Homeopathic Doctors� Association and others.

A press statement released by the All Assam Homeopathic Medical College Students� Union said that the AYUSH fraternity supports the proposed �bridge course,� which will go on to bridge the gaps in the healthcare coverage in every nook and corner of the country.

�It is a remarkable move to address the abysmally low doctor-patient ratio,� the statement said, adding that around 150 doctors pass out from the homeopathic colleges of the State.
