DIBRUGARH, Jan 9 - The members of the local Bajrang Dal, Hindu Jagaran Manch and Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Monday staged a protest march in the main commercial hub of the city here in protest against the hoisting of Pakistani flag and reported campaign for �Jihad� through black flags on Sunday by unidentified persons at the bank of the Brahmaputra in Amaraguri near here.
The three organisations later burnt a national flag of Pakistan at Thana Chariali and demanded immediate identification and arrest of the individuals and groups involved in hoisting the flag of the neighbouring country and campaigning for �Jihad�. They also threatened to call for a shutdown if the district administration failed to act.
