Himanta�s road show draws huge crowd

UDALGURI, Dec 3 - Ahead of the first phase of BTC elections slated to be held on December 7 next in Udalguri and Baksa districts, a series of road shows of State Health, Education and Finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma along with two Members of Parliament � Dilip Saikia and Pallav Lochan Das � right from Mazbat via Orang and Rowta covering Udalguri town up to Harisinga in Udalguri district drew a huge crowd on both sides of the roads.

Holding rounds of meetings during his �Pad Yatra�, Dr Sarmah dwelt on corruption during the BPF rule in the BTC region and sought peoples� active democratic participation to bring an end to such a regime and vote BJP to power in the new BTR and have a taste of real development. The road shows participated by BJP activists and supporters in thousands with slogans, placards and banners created the ambience of a festive season at a time when Corona scare is yet to disappear. People came out from their households to see the election campaigning of star campaigners.

In Udalguri town, the Health and Education minister started his massive road show from the Golmagaon and moved around Udalguri town.

Meanwhile, it has been learnt that Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will address an election rally at Monpur under 38 Bhairabkunda constituency in Udalguri district tomorrow.
